Several types of lasers can be performed in the office to prevent and treat different eye diseases.
Argon and YAG lasers can be used to prevent and treat certain types of glaucoma as well as retinal tears, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal problems.

**Short term side effects include mild discomfort, redness, blurry vision, or sensitivity to light. The
most common side effect was a contained bleed from a small blood vessel, often appearing as a red
spot on the white part of the eye that resolved without treatment
